Saijib Wazed Joy, Sheikh Hasina's son, has stated that his mother will return to Bangladesh once the election date is set. Joy has disputed claims of Hasina's resignation, asserting that she never signed a resignation letter and that the current interim government is unconstitutional. Meanwhile, General Walkeruz-Jaman claimed Hasina resigned, prompting the formation of an interim government. Joy also expressed confidence that the Awami League would win the next election if it is conducted fairly. He is willing to work with the BNP to ensure a democratic process. Despite the ongoing violence and protests in Bangladesh, Joy maintains that while there have been some governmental errors, Sheikh Hasina is not personally responsible for the violence, which he attributes to the actions of certain officials.
