Tele Consumers Association Demands Reduction in Internet Prices & Call Rates from Interim Govt

The Tele Consumers Association of Bangladesh (TKAB) has made five demands to the interim government, including reducing internet prices and call rates. TKAB claims that customers currently have to pay a tax of Tk 39 for using a Tk 100 mobile phone service, which is the highest in South Asia. The association also demands an end to fraud in the e-commerce sector and amendments to the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 to protect consumer interests in the information technology sector.
