Samid Hossain (19), a second year student at Kishoreganj Polytechnic Institute, was killed during clashes between protesters and police in Dhaka. He was actively involved in the anti-discrimination movement since its beginning and participated in the 'March to Dhaka' program on August 5th. Hossain was shot by police in the afternoon and later declared dead at Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital. His family seeks justice for his murder, as he is laid to rest without post-mortem or legal action taken.
