In a recent briefing, Tauhid Hossain, the foreign adviser of the interim government, assured diplomats that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's stay in India will not damage bilateral relations between the two countries. Hossain highlighted the caretaker government's priority to ensure an independent investigation of all deaths and violence in the recent mass uprising through the national judicial process. He also mentioned that the interim government aims to establish justice and ensure freedom of expression and fundamental rights, with assistance from international partners if needed.
