Massive Police Shake-Up: 10 Additional IGs, 29 SPs Transferred

In a major reshuffle, the Bangladesh government has transferred 10 Additional IGs, including the CID and SB chiefs, and 29 Superintendents of Police (SPs) across various departments. The transfers come in the wake of a political change in the country, with officers being moved to different positions in the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The list of transferred officers includes high-ranking officials such as Monirul Islam, Tawfiq Mahbub Chowdhury, Mohammad Ali Mia, and Anwar Hossain, among others. This massive shake-up is expected to bring about significant changes in the police administration.
