August 15 National Mourning Day Holiday Canceled

The general holiday on August 15, declared as the National Day of Mourning, is being canceled by presidential order. The proposal to scrap the holiday was initially suggested by various political parties, including BNP, during a meeting with Muhammad Yunus. The decision to cancel the holiday was made in a meeting with the interim government's Home Affairs Adviser, who stated that heavy security measures would be in place on August 15.
