Former DMP Commissioner and Monirul Islam on compulsory retirement

In a bold move, the President has issued compulsory retirement orders for former DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman, accused in a murder case, and Police Special Branch Chief Monirul Islam. This decision comes after former Law Minister Anisul Haque and Salman F Rahman were arrested in a bank account seizure scam, with Salman's name reportedly being untouchable. Previously, Habibur Rahman was dismissed as DMP Commissioner and Monirul Islam as SB chief, reassigned to the Police Directorate.
