The World Bank assured its commitment to supporting Bangladesh's interim government, focusing on complex economic reforms and job creation for the youth. Country Director Abdoulaye Sek stated that debt repayment is not a concern for the institution, aiming to build a long-term relationship and addressing climate change risks. IFC Country Manager Martin Holtmann highlighted opportunities in the banking sector and digitalization. The World Bank has also expressed condolences for the martyred students in the anti-discrimination movement and offered repair support for damages.
