A new murder case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and five other individuals in connection to the alleged abduction of a lawyer from Dhaka's Uttara on Wednesday (August 14). The case was accepted by the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury, and the Uttara-paschim police station has been directed to take it as evidence. Additionally, Supreme Court lawyer Sohel Rana filed the case against the accused. This is the latest in a series of cases filed against the former Prime Minister since she left office, including charges of murder, kidnapping, and the killing of a grocery store owner during the quota reform movement in July. The accused include former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former IGP Shahidul Haque, and former RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed, as well as 25 unidentified members of RAB.
