Harun Or Rashid, the ex-chief of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, allegedly used a falsified freedom fighter certificate to secure a BCS job. Growing up, his father was a rice dealer and not involved in the liberation war, contrary to Harun's claims. His 'change of fortune' began while serving as SP in Gazipur, linked to land acquisition in Haor, and accusations of owning hundreds of millions in the US. Widespread criticism ensued over his negative actions, such as extortion and spreading offensive videos.
