Two dead bodies were floating in the big Feni river, rescued and buried

A huge pothole has been created on the connection road of Saheber Ghat Bridge built on Chota Feni River in Sonagazi Upazila of Feni. Due to this, the road communication between Noakhali and Sonagazi upazila has been cut off as traffic cannot pass through the road. This incident happened on Friday afternoon. After going to the surface in the afternoon, it can be seen that the huge hole has been created in the middle of the connecting road in the western part of the bridge. Hundreds of people flocked to the bridge area to see the hole. Local residents said that the soil and blocks on both sides moved from under the bridge in the western part due to the pressure of last week's terrible flood water. After that, erosion also started to appear on the connecting road of the bridge. In this situation, local people tried to prevent erosion by filling sandbags on the basis of voluntary work. Officials of Noakhali Roads and Public Paths Department also joined them after getting the news. The sandbags were removed from the morning till the afternoon last Thursday, but the erosion started again from night. An erosion occurred on the link road on Friday afternoon. Due to this, the road communication between Noakhali and Sonagazi upazila was closed and the local residents suffered.
