Former IGP Shahidul Haque and Abdullah Al Mamun arrested

Former IGP of Police AKM Shahidul Haque and Abdullah Al Mamun have been arrested by law and order forces. They were arrested on Tuesday night (August 3). A small message sent by the media and public relations department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the arrest of two former police chiefs. It is learned that law enforcement forces have detained them for preliminary interrogation. They will be asked what role they played in the movement of students. Shahidul Haque was IGP from 31 December 2014 to 31 December 2018. And Abdullah Al Mamun was IGP from 30 September 2022 to 6 August 2024.
