Bangladeshi Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan Fined Tk 50 Lakh for Securities Market Manipulation

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has imposed a fine of Tk 50 lakh on Bangladesh's national cricket team captain, Shakib Al Hasan, for his involvement in manipulating the share price of Paramount Insurance Company. The decision was made during the BSEC's 923rd Commission meeting held on Tuesday, September 24. Shakib is one of seven individuals and entities fined a total of Tk 1.63 crore for their role in the share price manipulation.
