Dr. Muhammad Yunus Introduces Mastermind of Quota Reform Movement- Mahfuz Abdullah; at Clinton Global Initiative

At the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus shared the story of the Bangladesh quota reform movement and introduced Mahfuz Abdullah, the student activist and "behind the scenes" mastermind, to world leaders. Accompanied by two other student leaders, Ayesha Siddika Tithi and a anonymous individual, Mahfuz was praised by Dr. Yunus for his inspiration role in the movement that shook the country. Despite the previous government's violent actions towards student protesters, the movement remained committed to its cause, ultimately leading to the fall of the government. The movement remained leaderless and did not back down from its statement or sacrifice, leading to significant change in Bangladesh.
