Medical Admission Test Today: Over 135,000 Students Compete for Limited Seats

The MBBS admission test for 2024-25 is being held today, January 17, from 10 am to 11 am at 19 centers nationwide. Over 135,000 candidates are competing for 5,380 government medical seats, averaging 25 applicants per seat—an increase from last year’s 19 per seat. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued strict guidelines for candidates. They may only bring their admit card and a black ballpoint pen to the exam. Watches, calculators, and electronic devices are prohibited. Examination center gates will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 9:30 a.m. Candidates and guardians are advised to allow sufficient time to avoid delays.
